Cathy’s lifelong passion for all animals is the driving force behind everything she does! She is a committed animal welfare advocate as well as the owner of five rescue dogs.

Cathy is also proudly a member of the Board of Directors of The Humane Society of the United States, the world’s largest animal protection charity. She has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal and countless other publications for her lifesaving work for animals. Channel 12 in Connecticut hailed her as its Hometown Hero and Nowzad in Afghanistan named her its Global Ambassador, an organization that enables soldiers to bring home dogs they befriended while serving. The Humane Society of the United States presented her with its Compassion in Action Award for her work to end the barbaric Canadian seal hunt. She is also passionate about horse rescue and is a supporter of SquirrelWood Equine Sanctuary.
